Maraska

Croatia -

Skillfully produced with estate grown cherries the ‘Maraschino liqueur’ originates from Zadar, on Croatia’s Dalmatian coast. Maraska uses the original Maraschino recipe from the 16th century, devised by pharmacists of the Dominican monastery and later re-discovered by Francesco Drioli.

After the destruction of Zadar during World War II, Maraska distillery regrew the liqueur’s infamy and brought back the region’s most famous creation. Deeply set with a tradition in liqueur production, Maraska is a truly quality producer.

The original distillery supplied British royalty from Queen Victoria, King George V and the Duke of Edinburgh throughout the 18th and 19th century and is now being brought back to these shores once more.
