— OR —
“With toffee apples, stem ginger, dried apricots, cookie dough and a little banana, this silky-smooth, easy-going Irish whiskey ticks all the boxes. Sip it neat, over ice or next to a beer for a boilermaker, this is versatile, super-tasty and dangerously easy to drink.”
“A great entry point to peated whisky, this is laid-back, easy going and super-sippable. Peachy, citrussy elements combine beautifully with an earthy smokiness which is more charred wood/ bonfire than high, acrid peat. A cracking mixer but great as it comes. Worryingly smashable.”
“Just what you want from a young-ish whisky, peach, carrot cake, honeysuckle, wet caramel, christmas spice, ginger, walnut... we could go on. Simply put, if you like whisk(e)y, you'll like this.”
MEET THE PRODUCERS
“The English Whisky Co. is England’s oldest whisky distillery. Founded by the Nelstrop family in 2006, The English Whisky Co. built the beautiful St George’s Distillery specifically to make the very finest whiskies. The site is perfectly suited to whisky production, with the county of Norfolk being one of the world’s finest barley growing regions, coupled with the Breckland aquifer which can be found 50ft beneath the distillery providing a plentiful supply of crystal clear water.
Over time, the distillery has grown and today not only are we the oldest and most awarded English distillery, we also mature all of our casks and bottle all of our whisky on site. This ability to keep the entire process from start to finish on our own site enables us to ensure the very highest quality in all of our products. The distillery releases its drinks under two brands. ‘The English’ which is our range of single malt whiskies and ‘The Norfolk’ which consists of our grain whiskies and liqueurs.”
