Fill your boots (and ideally your glasses) with our Luxury 12; designed for a New Year’s to remember. A grower-producer Champagne that will wow the crowd. A selection of four incredible whites whose labels you’ll want to show off. And four next-level reds which are elegant, complex and completely beguiling.

  • René Jolly Blanc de Blancs × 4

“Brioche bread used to be for dipping in coffee, now it's wrapped around every burger going. That bit of bakery is exactly the smell you get from this Champagne. There's no patty and sauce in this bun thankfully just; lemon curd, pear, lime zestiness and apricot. Not that we are doctors but this should be taken every evening before dinner, where possible.”

  • Alexana Terroir Series Pinot Gris Willamette Valley

“Accomplished Pinot Gris wrangling from an excellent Oregonian winery. Peachy, melony and grapefruity, there's a wonderfully creamy edge to the texture that offsets the bright, refreshing acidity and citrus pith qualities. As good an example of the variety as you can wish for.”

  • Twill Cellars Chardonnay - Willamette Valley

“An oaked Chardonnay for those that enjoy the more Burgundian things in life, but with a little more fruit in the mix. Creamy, buttery, toasty, appley, lemony, melony, vanilla-y, lovelyyyyayay.”

  • Peter Franus Wine Red Hills Mourvèdre

“Rarely seen made on its own, Mourvèdre usually plays a supporting role in a blend of grapes. Here, however, it shines. Complex, spicy, fruity and developed, it's got it all. Bit of a bruiser, but charming, characterful and impressive.”

  • L'Usine Santa Rita Hills Pinot Noir

“Welcome to Pinot noir on steroids and lots of them. So deep and dark the kids will need putting to bed. Turbocharged with black cherry and plum, leather, straw, old railway sleepers but so smooth and divine. You know it's naughty and quite probably wrong but you can't help coming back for more.”

  • Peter Michael Winery L'Esprit des Pavots

“A classic and sleek, top-drawer Bordeaux blend from Napa & Sonoma counties. This gives perfectly ripe blackcurrant aromas alongside, leather, old fireplace, cooling eucalyptus, coffee and pencil shavings. The whole experience is so harmonious with fresh acidity, perfect fruit and grip. As tasted in 2022 this is drinking very well now but has plenty of ageing potential.”

  • Alexana Terroir Series Pinot Noir Willamette Valley

“If anyone asks you why people bang on about Oregon Pinot Noir, just give them a glass of this. Wild strawberry and raspberry compote, cured meat and sweet spice, bright acidity and subtle, velvet-smooth tannin. Multi-faceted, delicious and moreish, this is how Willamette Valley Pinot should be.”

  • Pahlmeyer Jayson Sauvignon blanc

“Wow Pahlmeyer! This is a dream Sauvignon blanc from Napa Valley. A delicate symphony of aroma and flavour featuring; ripe pineapple, mint, lime, fresh asparagus, stonefruits, cream and flint smoke. Clean, composed and drinkable to the extreme.”

  • Peter Franus Wine Napa Valley Albariño

“Be warned - there is oak here! But what lovely oak it is. Buttery and toasty with a round, creamy texture that backs up ripe citrus and stone fruit. And it all just hangs around for ages after each decadent sip. Lovers of big whites will be richly rewarded here.”
