Natural Wine Set of 3

£55.00 Inc. Vat

Fancy dipping a toe into our low-intervention wines? Well, this trio welcomes all comers, whether new to the category or a seasoned connoisseur. We’ve a Sicilian white that’s ripe and utterly compelling. An approachable Spanish red that’s sure to convert any sceptics. And an unapologetic Slovenian orange wine that’s funky in all the right ways.

  • Valdibella Ariddu

“A fascinating natural wine where the winemaker has managed to pull each of his strings like a master puppeteer. Ripe, fruity, a little sourness, some aniseed, a long finish and some proper complexity. Very clever. Very tasty.”

  • Tinto de Rulo Pipeño Yumbel

“Bio Bio valley is a hub of innovation for Chilean winemaking. Take note. This is one of the new guard with bright cherries, borderline bubblegum waaay in the background, and earthy, dark chocolate bitter notes to balance any confectionary.”

  • Atelier Kramar Bohem

“Wake up and smell the roses they say. Well, we say what about the melons and the gooseberries and the vanilla and the flint smoke and the herbs and the cider apples too! A forget-me-not, Slovene, skin contact wine with just a little funky funk.”

MEET THE PRODUCERS

Atelier Kramar

Made by former artists Katja and Matjaz, who built their dream atelier in the picturesque Brda region and eventually fell into winemaking full time. Wines rooted in local tradition but with a modern expression and real elegance. The vines are primarily on top of ‘Ponca’ soils (sandstone marl) which are typical for the region, and also found over the border in Collio, Italy. Grasses and wild radicchio grow between the rows, helping to provide rich humus and healthy soils teeming with life.
