On the nose, you’re welcomed by a glorious mix of sultanas, raisins, and sticky currants, followed by notes of prune, treacle, and warm baked apple. There’s also a lovely lick of clove and cedar, hinting at the complexity to come.
The palate is rich and festive – think alcohol warmth, subtle tannin, and a bold fruitcake core packed with pecan and walnut. This is a dram with proper structure, not just a sweet sipper.
The finish lingers in all the right ways – nutty, spiced, and humming with dried fruit, vanilla, and cosy cooking spice.
