Domingo Hermanos

Argentina - Salta, Cafayate

‘Domingo Molina’ is 8 km West of Cafayate, in Yacochuya, at 2,000 m above sea level. It lies on the Andean mountainside, where the Calchaquí Valley can be seen.
The winery was built following the latest viticultural trends, focusing on the making of the finest wines and respecting the architectural features of the place. The Domingo brothers, Osvaldo, Gabriel and Rafael, have successfully put together the individual sensibilities of altitude grapes coupled with the latest technology in their winemaking facilities.

Clusters are hand-harvested in all the estates, and carefully selected before the destemming and crushing processes. After that, they are sent to low capacity, concrete or stainless steel tanks, where the fermentation and maceration processes are followed. Vines from different lots are treated separately, respecting their unique, independent nature. Micro-vinification processes are also carried out so as to take full advantage of the expressive potential in these grapes.
Ranging from 1,600 to 2,300 metres above sea level, the sixty-hectare vineyards boast a special microclimate with more than 300 sunny days, scarce rainfall, and a wide temperature range, all of which allow for excellent grape growing conditions.

Torrontes, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Tannat are some of the varieties that are grown respecting the ecological identity and personality of the terroir. The wines obtained from these grapes display all the typical qualities of the region in their intense aromas and flavours, complexity, good structure and balance.
