A Bold Chilean Red with Elegance in Spades
Straight from the sun-drenched vineyards of Chile, Mariposa Alegre Gran Reserva Syrah by Viña Marty is a finely tuned symphony of spice, fruit, and balance – a red wine that’s bold without bluster.
On the nose, there’s a delightful clash of black pepper over cooked strawberries, mingling with blackcurrant, clove, and juicy black plums. It’s rich, inviting, and wonderfully expressive.
The palate follows through with layers of black cherry, fresh blackcurrant, and a hint of strawberry, seasoned with warming notes of clove, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg. There’s an earthy undercurrent and just the right snap of fresh acidity. Tannins are low but present – giving shape without dominance.
The finish? Effortlessly balanced – medium-bodied from start to end, and all the more enjoyable for it.

Viña Marty was created in 2008. This project began with Pascal Marty’s vision to produce high-quality wines to all consumers’ tastes. Today the vineyard is directed by Pascal, owner and winemaker together with his key partners.

The winery is located in Curicó, just 200 kilometres south of Santiago. Our wines come from the most recognized terroirs within the Central Valley such as the valleys of Maipo Alto, Colchagua, Curicó and Maule. In addition, we select the best grapes from the coastal valleys of Casablanca and Leyda for our white wines.
We produce a portfolio of exceptional wines with grapes from the best valleys in Chile. Our wines reflect the tradition and nature of the origin of their grapes.
Together with Pascal’s French heritage, his oenological knowledge, and vast experience in the industry as an International Advisor, we differentiate ourselves from other producers by delivering high-quality wines with a unique style.
